Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Kimbolton Car Show 13th July 2025
This is a brilliant show with loads of cars, music, side stalls, acts in the arena etc.
For a number of reasons we haven't had many members attend last year & 2023 but hopefully we'll get a good turn out this year.
Anyone who is interested in going can you please stick a note on this post, we can then see if there is enough interest to justify asking them for a club plot.
Thanks, Steve
Webber carbs
Hi just had Webber carbs 32/36 fitted , I have purchased 2 synchrometers and when I check them can’t get them to balance … I have adjusted idle screw and mixture screw but I think i might be missing something…is there another screw to balance carbs ??? Thanks
Anyone Recognise what this is?

Anyone Recognise what this kit is other than one that appears to have had it's identity removed, this is a total guess & not an accusation but from the looks of it it's been used, so either on the donor plates, or the plates are now on another vehicle.
East of England meets for February

Weather not very conducive to going out recently, but next Tueday (25th) looks like it will be OK. So we will have a run out to Elton Garden Centre (PE8 6SH). Anyone else like to join us ? Please let me know by Monday lunchtime as we will be booking a table (12:00)
J registered vehicles.
I have seen a 2B advertised but it has a "J" registration. What are the practical difficulties caused by this?
Will it have to go through the SVA system?
Will it be registered as recently put on the road so subjected to emission tests on the MOT?
How will insurance companies treat it?
Any other problems?
Any comments gratefully received. Thanks. Mick.
West Midlands Monthly Meet 26th February 2025

Next Wednesday 26th 6pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL.
Generally they're trying to kick us out just after 930pm so if you're coming, don't leave it too late. Also, if you want to eat, book beforehand as they don't normally let people just rock up and eat.
Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island.
Everyone welcome.
North East Area Monthly Meeting Tuesday 25th Feb.from 7pm

Kit car newspaper article
Just to let everyone know that there is a kit car article in the money section of tomorrow's Telegraph newspaper, both online & hard copy. I believe it's mainly about the financial aspects of kit car building and ownership, but don't quote me on that .
I had a chat with Joe Wright who's doing the article so hopefully the club will get a mention and maybe a photo, although, if I'm in the photo it might frighten people off !!
I don't know exactly what's is in the article but they say any publicity is good publicity don't they ?
