Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Beaumanor Hall Show, 31St July
This is a cracking show Kerry and I have been for the last few years and there is a broad variety of cars, trucks etc on show.
Its £4 to book in so not a huge loss if the weather is bad.
The promoter has changed this year and it would appear all the club areas have been pre booked so we will have to book in as private entries. No booking form either, all on line.
Lincolnshire Meeting For June
Hi all
Looking ahead to next month we are spoilt for choice again. There are 3 opportunities to get together and I will try and get to all of them.
Sat 4th June: GBS Open Day, always good for a free coffee and a chat and a nose around other cars.
Sun 19th June: Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair (http://www.midsummerfair.co.uk/)
As a Club we had a very good turn out 2 years ago with 8 cars. Last year I was away so no-one went. Let's try and go for a good turn out this year. It's a classic village fair with all the things you would expect: Craft stalls, Morris dancers, Beer, BBQ, Music, Duck Race, Dog Show.... A great day out for everyone.
Arrival/Departure times are flexible, although it would be nice to have some cars there fairly early so we can block out some of the road where we display, and I can show off the new Club Banner (thanks Steve).
I would like to give the organisers an idea of numbers, so could you either let me know or post here. So far I have:
Me
Richard (richard7)
Pete (swan)
Derek
Nigel (niduncan)
Sun 26th June: Horsepower at the Hall (https://www.facebook.com/horsepoweratthehall/) As some of you know this has been a victim of it's own success and has had to move to a bigger field at the Newark Showground. Four of us went last month and the turnout was huge, but we were parked miles apart.. And we need more Hoods Timings are nominally 13:00-17:00 although when I got there at 12:50 it was already half full. And you leave when you have had enough. This time I will arrange an RV beforehand (maybe at a pub), so we can arrive and park together.
Enjoy it !!

South Yorkshire Meet June + Change Of Venue
Hi all,
Some members have asked if we can try a different venue, due to the slow service for meals and irregular staffing of the bar at the Red Lion.
So, the June meet is at:
Monk's Bridge Farm
Nobel Way,
Dinnington,
S25 3QB
Coming eastbound from the M1 J31, take a left at the roundabout by the red lion and proceed for nearly 2 miles, and Monk's bridge is the 4th exit off the next roundabout.

Usual time of 7:30 on weds 1st June.

Yorkshire Steam Fair Sat 23Rd-Sun 24Th July
Hi,
We attended this show last year and it was a roaring success, everyone had such a good time.
We all arrived on Friday night, had a BBQ and a few beers then on Saturday morning put the cars on the stand, we were invited into the event arena for a bit of a show off and then finished the day with a BBQ on Saturday evening. We then put the cars back on the stand on Sunday morning.
We will follow the same format this year and the BBQ seemed to go down well.
You are welcome to come for the weekend of just the day.
I have attached the booking form and as I need to send these off together, please scan and email there to me (rebeccakelly2009@yahoo.co.uk) or post to 512 Braunstone Lane, Braunstone, Leicester, LE33DH.
Was a good turn out last year, lets make it a good one this year!!
Please register your interest by adding your name:

Alright all, there's a big car show up here at Dalemain 20/21 August, over 700cars on show, lovely place to be,just a mile away from Ullswater and some great driving roads, there's a tour on the Saturday and the show on the Sunday. For more details just put a search in for Wigton motor club. We could actually have a club stand.

Bucket & Spade Run
As mentioned at the Kent meet last night, here are details of the Bucket & Spade run:
http://rommcc.org.uk/bucket%20and%20spade%20run.html
I think you have to carry a plastic bucket & spade (as used on the beach for sandcastles!)
I don't know if our cars qualify, so I will e-mail the ROMMCC and let you know
Cheers
