Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Run Out Saturday 29Th July 2017

Me and Andi are going on a run out this Saturday, probably up into the Peak District. We're meeting at 1000 at Wickes in Asby-de-la-Zouch LE65 1JS
No particular plan at the moment, just a drive, some lunch somewhere and a drive back. Anyone else interested?
End Of Season Bingo

Hi all,
Last years end of season bash hosted bingo which proved to be lots of fun and very popular. All proceeds will go to RHOCAR`s nominated charity.
This is where we need your input.... All prizes are to be donated by club members and any business that wish to sponsor it.
Last year for example prizes included whisky, rum, wine, jewelry, car parts, a marrow?? a full English breakfast from the catering van (not Caterham), framed car photo`s and the star prize was a new jet washer.
Tickets will be on sale throughout Saturday at £1 for a strip of 3 and unless there is a drastic change Bingo should be called on Saturday evening in the main hall.
So have a rummage around to see what you can spare and dig deep.
Derek and Mo have already started the ball rolling with a donation at Hoodstock so many thanks for that.
It`s all good fun and you may even win something you really need.
Maybe.... just maybe

Stamford Car Show

Takes place on 27 August and many of us attend every year. See http://stamfordcarshow.co.uk/
The reason for this early post is that they use an unusual business model. If you have been before they send you an invitation to attend well in advance. Unfortunately they limit the attendance to 300 cars, so if everyone from last year accepts the invitation then no new people can attend. That doesn't happen of course, but it does mean there are VERY limited spaces left for new people. So, if you haven't attended before and want to go then you MUST register now. And make sure you put on your form that you are from the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register, that way we get a Club Stand if we have enough people attending.
Be careful to read their reply as well. Last year a few people thought they had been rejected but in fact they had only been rejected for the 'run out', not the actual show. Very few cars are allowed on the run so that is nearly always fully booked well in advance.
Finally, I seem to have a spare invitation if anyone wants to go but gets rejected.
Can those who have already accepted their invitation let me know so we have an idea of numbers.
So far I have
1, Me
2. Nigel
3. Ivan
4. Derek
5. Mick
