Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

The Uk Kit Car Club Track Day.

Ok from what has been said over the past few days and things I have been thinking about since I joined the club on making it better I have a suggestion that I would like input on.
I would like to organise a track day for the club which has a discounted price for members and also include non members at a higher price to fill the remaining spaces.
What I would like to know is, what track would people like to see? So I can contact them to try and organise a deal for the club
My idea is in theory anyway is to get a price for say a 30 car track day and have it so the club members get first dibs at a £30 discount to the non members. This would encourage non members to join the club which would save them £10 on there day and make more money and gain members for the club. Which will also inturn gain the club more stage presence due to people talking about the day on social media by sharing there experience and photos.
How does everyone feel about this?
Hog Roast At Stoneleigh?
Brighton Classic Car Show, June 3Rd

I thought I'd try arrange something down the bottom end of the country, for a change.
https://www.classicmotorshows.co.uk/brighton-motor-show
I'm happy to do a block booking and to plan a fun route down to Brighton from a convenient start point, if anyone is interested. It's worth going just to get free, allocated parking in Brighton :-)
I realise it's a long way for most of you and I'm not sure if we have many southerners on here (the members map shows quite a few) so I may be going by myself :-) but any interest?
Stamford Car Show

Thanks to one of the members (Ivan Farrington) for pointing this one out.
Where: Stamford Town Meadows
When: Sunday 26th August 2018, 10am to 5pm
How: Registration will open Saturday 28th April 2018
I believe a few have attended this event previously, i have contacted the event and they are happy to give us a designated area for a club stand to allow us to all exhibit together. They have stated that each car will need to register individually when registration opens on 28th April 2018 (This Weekend) and clearly state RHOcar The UK KIT CAR CLUB on the application.
Please see link below to the event and registration.
Hope to see a good turn out and put our stamp on the event.
cheers
Keith
Eosb Discussions

Just to clarify the EOSB may not happen this year. The reason being is that the usual venue we use could not give us our usual dates. The only two dates we were given were the 30th June and the last weekend in September.
A lot of feedback was given to me from last years event to which I thank all that have it. One of the main things was that people didn't not want to camp in September and the general concensous was that an earlier date would be preferred.
Unfortunately the 30th June which was the only other date that was available clashed with another event date that had been set.
I have been looking into other venues since last year but the cost is looking too big. There are a few I am still perusing and am hopefull we can put something together but at this time I have nothing to promote.
I would have liked to have been promoting the event early and had flyers etc to hand out at stoneleigh and other events to try and get the number up but without a venue not a great deal to promote.
This is a real shame as last year numbers were up and costs were down after a lot of effort was put in.
That said there are still several camping weekend events available and hopefully a few more event/ gatherings that can be organised. I will keep looking at possible venues for this year and if I can find something that fits I will Set things up.
