  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Peterborough’s fifth Classic and Vintage Vehicle Festival will take place on The Embankment on 1 and 2 September 2018. The event is growing with each year and in 2017 it attracted more than 500 vehicles and more than 3,000 visitors from all over the region and further afield.

This is a fun filled weekend for all the family where there's plenty of variety on display for the enthusiast including cars, motorcycles, scooters, commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles, buses and military vehicles.

We have been for the last few years, its on the meadows not far from the river and the Nene Valley Railway.

If you can let me know asap as i want to send application in by Friday and the number of attendees defines the area we get allocated.

Hoodstock Kit Car Fest August 3Rd 4Th And 5Th 2018

    Andi
    By Andi,

This will take place later in the year than usual, with the upside being it will be hotter than previous June timelines.

For those who don`t know this will be a weekend of laughs and run outs with a base camp at a farm in the Leicestershire countryside.

There will be BBQ`s and fires in the evenings, toilets, running water and a main drinking tent .

More details to follow but in these uncertain times of austerity, Brexit and snow, you can rest assured that the cost to you for this event will be £00.00

and it WILL be sunny and hot.

More details will follow, but here are a few for now.

The venue on google maps shows Barsby Lodge Farm . This is NOT the said farm but IS the correct location (Barsby Farm is in fact on the opposite side of the road)

Google mixed up farm houses. The actual farms name is Hill Crest Farm

    Hill Crest Farm

    South Croxton Road

    Queniborough

    Leicestershire

    LE7 3RX

    https://www.google.c...=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

Tents can be set up Friday evening or Saturday morning if you like. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CAMP IF YOU DONT WANT TO

We will be leaving at 12pm on the Saturday for a countryside run, which will be decided at our next local meet in a couple of weeks (more details to follow).

Followed by a pub lunch, and then back to the farm to freshen up and dress for dinner. Which will be a hefty BBQ and much beer.

Sunday will start whenever people have the strength and another run is on the cards.

All are welcome and may join in as much, or as little as you want. No pressure.

If you are standing in front of the farm house, the gate you need is a few yards to the right of it. Follow the yellow arrow below.
