  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    Kerry
    By Kerry,

I would like to start our area meeting this month at The Gate Hangs Well, Syston. I have spoken with the venue and explained as we could have more than 6 people we would remain outdoors so the weather will play a part in the decision to attend. The Pub would love to have us their, and will fit in with us under the current situation.
Looking forward to seeing members and visitors at 7.30pm

    Lincolnshire Meets for May

    alanrichey
    By alanrichey,

After 3 very successful meetings in April I am looking to do the same for May using my usual format, i.e. a nice drive then a picnic lunch at some beauty spot.   The first one, subject to weather, is going to be a mid-week run to Foxton Locks (highly recommended, large car park and a nice walk along the locks).   This one will still be limited to 6 people and at the moment is fully booked with my regulars, although I am happy to have reserves if someone drops out.   The next one will be after the 17th, when up to 30 can attend so we won't be limited.  Haven't decided on the location yet, but if anyone is interested let me know.  I'm happy to make it a weekend if that would help anyone is still working and can't do mid-week.

    North East Area Monthly Meeting

    alantoon
    By alantoon,

I am looking to restart the monthly meetings from the last Wednesday in May the 26th. This will be an outside meeting, provided that the weather cooperates, we have had the meeting outside in the car park before, and we should be able to keep inside the numbers permitted outside. Good chance to get the cars out and catch up after a year without a meeting. Bring your brolly!!!!!

    Staffordshire Area Meet 24.06.21

    Andi
    By Andi,

    Hi all,

I`m going to get bold here, and say this will be on the 24th June.  Apparently this is subject to change , but if we get no word from "da man" it will go ahead

Spread Eagle Watling St, Gailey, Stafford ST19 5PN

    https://www.spreadeaglepubgailey.co.uk/menus

    https://goo.gl/maps/vt6Hcc3Ae5x4YbfJA

It`s a huge pub / restaurant / car park / garden and so distancing should not be a problem. Starting at around 19.30pm (you can book a table for food earlier if you like).

Everybody is welcome. Pop in for 20 minutes or4 hours, be you member or non member  (non members could always join if they wanted to 👌) come and drive your cars, or just come and look at the cars if your building or thinking of getting a kit. Or come on your trike if you have one :yahoo:

    Bring on the summer

    Lincolnshire Meetings for April

    alanrichey
    By alanrichey,

Now we are released back into the community, time to start getting together again.   I'm going to run at least a couple of my usual picnic lunches either at Burghley House, Rutland Water or one of the local County Parks.   Obviously limited to 6 people, so if anyone wants to come let me know your availability and if you will be accompanied and I will try to work out a programme.

    Magazine back issues

    nelmo
    By nelmo,

In the members-only section of the forum (another good reason to become a full member 😀) is a new sub-forum containing back issues of the club magazine (Well, since I started editing the mag).

Feel free to take a look and download.
