Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Thames Valley Christmas Meet
Just west of the A34, near Abingdon, lies Frilford, home of Milletts.
We shall be eating in the carvery at 12.00 noon, with very good value for money meals including Christmas Fayre, and all roasts etc to suit all tastes. ( and vege too ) Average meal cost about 15. per head.
Small bar and nice atmosphere, our venue for the last 7 years or so.
Afterwards downstairs for a little retail for the girls, amongst the organics, the deli, the Christmas crafts, the plants, herbs and shrubs, and much more.
Oh, and a great display of RH 's in the usual bright sunlight, wrap up warm !
I need accurate numbers to ensure space is booked as it gets busy.
Please let me know by mail or PM .
Any visiting hoodies will be made welcome by the friendly TV crowd.
Thanks
John.

S & W Yorks Christmas Meet
Monthly meeting for December is on as normal on Tues 12th December at the usual location.
However it's been decided that this months we will push the boat out and do a Christmas get together with a sit down meal (with Partners!)
I'm afraid it is not funded - but the pub is not that expensive. We haven't gone for the Christmas meal option just the normal menu.
Please can anyone that wants to come (or cancel) please email me and let me know, so I can advise the pub some numbers. I have booked a table for 16 and have 18 confirmed at the moment !! But it's open to anyone and I'm sure the pub will be accomodating.
Please can anyone that wants to come (or cancel) please email me or PM me and let me know, so I can advise the pub some numbers.
Cheers all. Big Lee

North Yorkshire Day Out
Day Out - Sunday 26th November 2006
North East RHoCAR members are meeting at the Scotch Corner Hotel 11.00am for a run down to Ian & Ally Marr's near Masham then a run out into the Yorkshire Dales. Everyone's invited along, bring your Hood, tin top, motor bike or whatever.
The day's objectives.
1/ Visit Ian's new house. (It used to be an old peoples home so some of us wrinkles will feel at home).
2/ Take a look at Ian's 2B and offer advice to get it on the road before it becomes an antique (a seven year build so far).
3/ Ask for a go in his new Lotus Elise (no guarantee of that).
3/ Eat his biscuits and drink his coffee.
4/ Go for a blast in the Dales. Possible rest stops at the Ice Cream Dairy and the Black Sheep Brewery?
5/ Have fun.
See you tomorrow.

Staff's Area Christmas Meal
Right you lot its that time of year!!!
Have now sorted booking a large table for a meal at the Darlaston Inn (the usual meeting place) for a very reasonable £20 for 2 people! (see attached) the plan is to have a sit down meal on Saturday the 2nd of December starting at approx 7.30-8 and then for anyone who wants to join in theres a bit of a pub crawl round Stone until the very early hours which WILL get messy! and as such no flash photography will be allowed! :-P
So far I have had about 20 names so it has all the signs of a darn good night out, however the Darlaston do want a deposit which Im happy to pay but what I now is a DEFINITE list of people who are going as I dont want to put a deposit down for you only to be out of pocket on the night so please email names and any +1's only if you are DEFINITELY going and we can get it booked!
Also for anyone traveling further a field there are rooms for £26 at the Travelodge see link below
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/h.../178/StaffordM6
see you soon
