Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

May 07 Competition
Ok guys, very simple! There are THREE pictures attached, each picture is ONE car, so simply email me webmaster@rhocar.org the make/model of each car, your RHOCaR membership number, and the tie-breaker which is "I love my car because....".
Sounds simple, well NO... because my WIFE will be picking the tie-breaker answer!!! So it's totally unbiased and ANY club member can play!
The prize? Well not long back, "In-Car-Styling" did a group buy (still available http://community.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=14962) on some panel organisers. I've managed to get a free one to give away, so one luck member will get this sent to him free of charge to do with as they want!
The competition will close on 31 May, so you have plenty of time to work them out and come up with a response!
Thames Valley To Stoneleigh
Hi All.
Anyone from the Thames Valley or generally from the South who is going to the Show on the Sunday is welcome to meet up en route and convoy into the Show, as per last year, which was very well executed.( like Amarillo ! . So I suggest the same agenda for this year.
0800 Depart my place, via Henley and A4074 to Oxford Ring road.then A34 to M40.
0900. Meet Services J10 on M40. ( petrol forecourt )
0930 Meet Warwick Services M40 ( ditto )
1000 Arrive Stoneleigh Showground.
Please let me know where you would like to rendezvous along the way,
If you are spending the weekend camping over, we will meet up with you in the Rhocar Club Area.
Hopefully the weather will be as good as this weekend, so get the polish out !
Easthoods +
The Easthoods + convoy to Stoneleigh will be leaving Thetford services at 07.30 and Newmarket services at 08.30 on Sunday the 6th May.
Anyone thinking of joining us let me know so we don't go without you.
Somerset, Wilts, Glocs & Hereford
Further to my earlier post:
Following swiftly on from Stoneleigh is the RHOCAR day at Barkstone Heath. Once again there will be a merry band travelling up from the Bristol area and camping overnight at Woodland Waters on the Friday and Saturday night. Plan at present is to depart Michaelwood Services at around 11:15 on Friday morning, pausing at M5 Junc 11, Corley Services on the M6 and Leicester Forest East on the M1 to arrive at Woodland Waters by mid afternoon. Erect tents before cracking open the beers (from experience - erecting tents whilst under the influence is not good idea ).
And there’s more!! Sunday 20th May is our karting event with the Thames Valley Mob. This takes place at the Swindon Karting Centre, Wroughton - arrival time 13:00. There are still a few places left for drivers so if you would like to take part please get in touch ASAP.
Cheers for now
Richard

For anyone in the area keen to tag along we will be departing from Michaelwood Services on the M5 at 14:15, Barry Liles will be joining the formation at Junc 11 and we will pause at the Alcester Services on the A46 at around 15:30 - 15:45 for Megablades usual toilet stop.
