Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Castle Combe
I have received entry passes for the Classic and Sportscar Action Day on Saturday the 9th June at Castle Combe. These passes allow entry of 1 car & driver into the paddock area (unfortunately you will have pay for any passengers) where we will have a dedicated Robin Hood Club parking area. This is a good day with lots of interesting machinery on display and presents the opportunity to get your car out on to one of the best circuits in the country.
A track pass will cost £30.00 per 15 min session or if you would like to drive the circuit at a more relaxed pace, parade laps are run during the lunch time break for which you pay a reduced fee.
The number of passes is limited so if you would like one please get in touch ASAP to give me time to mail them out. The circuit is offering a prize for the best turn out so we need to fill our spot with as many kits as possible. I can be contacted on 07710 130795 or richard@rhanks.freeserve.co.uk

Skellingthorpe Gala
Just a plug for this year's gala at Skellingthorpe (just outside Lincoln) which like previous galas will be a vehicle based event .
The gala is on the Sunday 24th June starting at 12.00.Although we usually have a parade of all the vehicles around the village at about 11.30 ish.
As always we have arranged a band and a buffet supper at the community centre on the Saturday night which has proved to be extremely popular for the last three years.
There is limited camping facilities on the community centre playing field for those who wish to travel on the Saturday and stay over. Tickets for the Saturday night dance are £12.00 each but we would appreciate it if you could give us early notice if you want these as they quickly go once the event is advertised in the village.
Hopefully like the last three years there will many different vehicles present.
All monies raised goes to village organisations/and/or charities of their choice, Skellingthorpe and District Motorcycle Club for instance have raised a lot of money for the Air Ambulance and LIVES so it's all for a good cause.
So come on you Lincs lot dust off the cars and see you there.
Hope to see many of you there.
Best Wishes
on behalf of Chris & Chris Goldson
