  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    Shows

    Guest Ian & Carole
    By Guest Ian & Carole,

    Hi All

Just to keep you all in the picture I have booked both an indoor, (2 car) display, and an outdoor area (50 cars) at Detling. (April 12th - 13th)

Today I booked the same display area at Stoneleigh as we have had for the past two years for 130 cars.

Its up to you now to fill the field.

It looks like camping is £5.00 for Kit drivers, free entry if not camping, £15.00 for passengers including entry to the show on both Sunday May 4th & Monday May 5th.

None Kit drivers, Hold on tight now, @ £25.00 each :o :o :o Children 6 - 12 @ £10.00 each, again this includes entry to the show on both days.

I have some "pre book" order forms if any of you feel that well organised, although most usually just turn up and pay on the day.

Finally for now, The Honourary "el-presidento" is booking the "Hog Roast" for the Saturday Night of the NEWARK SHOW, (June 21st - 22nd)

so bring your beer, whiskey, wine and appitite along.

Newark should be busier than the last few years as the "CHRIS BROWN" MOB will be back from there jolly to terrorise France. :D :D so we should easily win the "best attended" again this year.

Thats all for now, so will someone please book the weather. :clapping:

    The Future Of Rhocar

    Mat-Moo
    By Mat-Moo,

It was a very sad day for me Reading about Tim's decision to not re-elect himself for next years AGM but at the same time I understand his decision as well. Tim and Sue have done so much for the club that not having him at the wheel will be (almost) strange.

The question is, where do we go from here? Unless someone steps up for the job the club will in effect cease to be. Not something I would like to see happen!

So "Have you got the balls?" The club NEEDS volunteers to run local events, areas secretary's and a new leader.

This is something I could see me doing! BUT not right now, as I'm self employed and my business is working through a poor patch, I just do not have the time to commit. So PLEASE if you feel you can help the club, even run the club, contact Tim and get your name in for the next AGM.

    Whoops

    Mat-Moo
    By Mat-Moo,

I made a slight cockup on the board while playing with some settings. This meant that "Community users" could post new threads in the For Sale and Wanted areas. This has now been corrected and any adverts placed during this time removed... if you got a response then you got a bonus because you shouldn't of been able to post! Posting adverts is only for the members of the RHOCaR club.
