  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

    Heritage logo

The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    SE meet-up, July 30th

    nelmo
    By nelmo,

    Hi,

Following on from our inaugural SE meet at the Chalet cafe a week or 3 ago, Nigel has kindly offered his house as the location for our second meeting. I say his house but it sounds more like a country estate (he's got his own fishing lake!) 🙂 and he is happy to accommodate us all.

Apart from some lovely roads in his neck of the woods, he is also bribing us with drinks and bacon butties, so no-brainer for me 😉

    Date: Saturday, July 30th
Time: From 10am until we've run out of bacon...
    Address: Robertsbridge, TN32 5EU

I will be sorting out a route from Reigate/Horsham to Robertsbridge so if anyone wants to join me, please let me know and we can arrange to meet somewhere along the line.

Hope to see some of you there...

    (Posting on behalf of Tony)

The End Of Season Bash 2022 is on Friday 2nd September to Sunday 4th at Market Harbour Show Ground LE16 7QB

September may feel a long way away but we need your help and commitment to get your tickets booked as soon as possible.  This really helps with the organisation and logistics of this event.

The Committee and non committee members work so hard on this event behind the scenes and we need more people to turn up to ensure that this event can carry on year after year.

The End of Season Bash itself is a great event with marquee, bouncy castles, live band, bar, food van, Saturday ride out and loads of entertainment. Day tickets and camping tickets available.

Even if you are not a member of our club and still at the building stage of your car this event would be so beneficial to you..... The amount of experienced people who have already built their own cars and are always more than willing to help and advised. Just seeing the cars and meeting people with same interest we give you the push to get your cars finished.  Who knows you could be with us September 2023 in your finished car.....

I urge you to join us please book your tickets on the following link.

    Lincolnshire Meets for July

    alanrichey
    By alanrichey,

Even though we have a fairly busy month already, with the Kimbolton Show on the 10th and Newark on the 23/24th, we can't waste this glorious weather.    So initially, we are planning to meet up on Wednesday the 13th.

Haven't decided on a location yet, that will depend on who is going to attend.  A usual I will try and aim we all get a 30-50 min drive to somewhere with a decent car park and room for a picnic.   Any suggestions always welcome.

Surrey and SE area meet - Sunday, July 3rd

    nelmo
    By nelmo,
As the new Surrey Area Sec, I thought I'd try arrange for a meet.

I'm not a great fan of arranging things weeks in advance so just to let you know that I will be at the Chalet Cafe on Sunday morning (July 3rd) from around 9-10am for a couple of hours (or more if anyone turns up) - if you can find the time, it would be great to see you down there, in your kit or any old car.

The Chalet Cafe address is - Henfield Rd, Horsham RH13 8DU and is a great little cafe for food, although it does shut at 1pm, so don't leave it too late.

I will actually be on a run in the area (starting at 7am!!) with some friends, so if anyone wants to join us on that, do let me know.

Otherwise, I hope to see some of you at the caff... 🙂
