Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

For those who have been before, I dont need to explain.
For those who have never been before, why on earth not, are you mad!

Look up RAF Barkston Heath.
Price;
Likely to be around £55 for nominated drivers.
Second drivers, as in car share, £35.

J P WALTON
80 LONDON ROAD
LONG SUTTON
LINCS

Kit required;
A valid full uk driving licence.
Overalls, must be a minimum of 100% cotton. NO MAN MADE FIBRES
Crash helmet, must be servicable, full or open face, full face prefered. I open face must be worn with goggles.
A car. It must be servicable and fit for purpose. No three wheelers.
A huge sense of humour and be prepared to have a good time.
Numbers will be rquired to be fixed to both sides of the car, no numpty last minute write it with a biro crap please.
Print two numbers at maximum size on your PC, ie a 2 and a 2 for 22, laminate and use electrical tape to affix, it aint rocket science.
Or, for little money, get hem from 'fleabay', very smart.
It is for you safety, so if in the event of an incident your car can be identified by the crash rescue crews.
If you have a prefered number let me know, I will allocate it from the start.
Should you be sharing a drive it would for instance be wise to choose 1 and 11.
Tmed runs;
Being a track day this can not be done due to insurance purposes.
But, you will be marked for 'Style' ('Virgins' please ask those that have been before)
I will run an active list of those requesting places on this thread and update with update times to keep all informed of who has a place.
Now. I know I am going to get tons of questions, same every year, dont be afraid to ask, what may appear a stupid question to you may be very valid, so ask away.
If you 'Barkston Virgins' want to have a look at what you are letting yourself in for look at the youtube link thing

Show Dates 2010
2010 Kit Car Shows
Detling Show - April 4-5 (Easter) Sun / Mon.
Stoneleigh Show - May 2-3 Sun / Mon. AGM (in the warwick centre 16.00 ish Sunday afternoon)
Newark Show - June 19-20 Hog Roast Saturday night
Stafford Show - September 18-19
Exeter Show - October 23-24 new date!! might be a bit warmer
Look forward to seeing freinds old and new, all welcome don't be shy, make sure you come and say hello.
We have decided this year that we will corden off an area around the Gazeebo on the display area for seating as we had a few people who thought it was a bit tight around this area last year, so if you arrive with the sun rise please don't park too close around the area of the Gazebbo. Thanks.
At all the shows there will be Tea / Coffee available for you.
The down side for some is YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT YOUR SELF, I do the shopping for it all, therefore I am not waiting on
There will also be a few RHOCaR mugs for sale for those who's handles have fallen off
It is free we just ask that you all make a small donation, much less than the £1.20 / £1.30 the vans charge.
The BBQ will be at Stoneleigh, Newark and Stafford.
I will supply some food and rolls baps etc.
You are all welcome to use it to cook your own food when the RHOCaR food runs out.
You are all also welcome to cook breakfast on it if you are capable of being in charge of lite flames in the morning. might be safer letting the children cook breakfast.
Due to A/L problems I am not sure if I will be at the shows this year but I am still battling with my bosses.
Here's to a good show year, like I always say I have booked the grass for us to play on can some one book the weather.

Southern Hoods Meeting
With the weather being a major issue at the moment it does seem a bit daft to even try to hold a meeting on tues this
coming week, so i will get back to everyone about the Feb meeting, although my feeling is that it might be wise to hold
of until March, Let me know if you have any thoughts on it ?
all the best Charlie.
Tvh January Monthly Meeting
Hi All,
I had planned to move the TVH monthly meeting to the second Sunday of the month so that we are not in the dark of a Wednesday night starting with the January meeting on Sunday 10th.
Due to the bad weather and the forecast of more heavy snow this coming Sunday in our area
I'm going to put the meeting back a week and see how the weather is for Sunday 17th January in hoping that things will improve, I will check again this time next week and will post again with the details if all is ok.
Hope you all agree with this.
Regards
Chris
