Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Newark 2010
Newark is nearly upon us so here is the latest info I have.
http://www.kitcarshow.co.uk/news/55
Nice to see they have given over a section to "HOODY BEAR"
As always I will be there from mid-afternoon on the Friday getting ready.
BBQ will be there if any body wants to cook their tea on it Friday night and breakfast Sat & Sun.
Tea and coffee will be available for a small donation on both days, all I will ask is that if you happen to use the last of the water in the air pot please pop the kettle on for the next person, thank you.
There will be some RHOCaR mugs for you take your drink from, and the new RHOCaR lanyards for sale for you to keep your membership card safe in, all profits to "Hoody Bear"
The cordoned off area for seating seemed to go down well at Stoneleigh so we will do that again.
If you are first on scene then please leave an appropriate area next to the gazebbo clear.
18.30ish will be hog roast time They say it will feed 300 so have your fill.
The show phone will be on from mid afternoon Friday all weekend if any of you need assistance,

Any one fancy this http://www.bubblecarmuseum.co.uk/index.shtml
Camping is £5.00
Caravan £7.00
Peeps could arrive Friday night, do the bubble cars Saturday also this http://www.lvvs.org.uk/ is about 15 miles away here in Lincoln.
Have a BBQ / party Saturday night and wander off home on Sunday.
If there is some interest then I will see about sorting some thing for the latter part of the year.
Look forward to seeing if there is any interest from any of you.

Northeast Rhocar Activities In June
Hi All
I've pulled together a list of activities for June from the suggestions put forward for the hoddies in the North East.
10th - club meet at the old farmhouse in Darlington
11th - track day at the langbar track in Middlesbrough - £99 for the day, with your breakfast, lunch and a kart race thrown in – realy good day last month with lots of intersting cars and plenty of track time- still plenty of spaces left for this event .....
here is the linkey to book directly with the track
http://www.thetrackdayclub.co.uk/
13th - Morpeth Car show and festival- we’ve attended this event for the past few years and has always been a good day out. The whole of morpeth turns out for the annual festival and car show. There is always a good turn out of American, classic and harleys, which have a procession down the main high street around lunch time.
I’ll contact the organiser and get some space on the main field for the day.
19th / 20th – Newark kit car show weekend
25th / 26th / 27th - Big Lee’s weekend at the A66 Smallways (AKA woodys weekend)
Always a good weekend, with lots of beer to be drunk at the smalways pub, where we camp for the weekend. Runs out on Saterday and Sunday usualy ending up at a pub for lunch… one idea that’s been suggested is to attend one of the local breweries to see how the fine ales are brewed and sample their wares!!
30th- club meet at the Church Mouse at Chester Moor
Don’t forget there is drag racing on 31st May at York raceway - your chance to have a run up the 1/4 mile and see some ludicrously quick cars !! - £10 admission and £30 to enter your car for the 1/4 mile runs.
Here is the linkey to their web site for more info
