Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Stafford
Hello All.
I received this e mail today from one of my members. Can anyone answer his questions?
Piddy.
Hi
Thanks for the info, Stafford web site gives a number that never answers for the show, and the Kit-Cars mag web site is, well, awful!
Sandra, my wife, and I are keen to attend, and caravan it too, but have no info at all - do you have any folks you know through the clubs that are staying over I could email to see how they got on booking etc?
Thanks Anthony.
Hoody Raffle
On a money raising note, what do people think about setting up a raffle for the Stafford show?
Unless this is already being done, I could get the tickets and stump up 3 bottles of quality wine for a prize.
If anyone else could offer something as a prize it would make it more interesting.
I think a £1 per ticket fee should be about right.
If we get enough prizes maybe we could out do the gadget show
Edit to say all proceeds to the air ambulace appeal
Malt Shovel
will be there 7ish this wed, also the griffin bedworth this tues just of a444 be there about 7ish.........

Detling 2011
Whilst trying to find some info for us all re the rapidly approaching Stafford Kit car show I stumbled across this.....
"..........ANNOUNCEMENT for DETLING 2011
European Kit & Car Builder Show will take place at The Kent County Showground, Detling,
near Maidstone on the 21st - 22nd MAY 2011
To celebrate the 21st year of event history one of the UK's biggest kit car shows returns to welcome 2011 to the magnificent Kent show grounds. With over 35 manufacturers, 50 trade stands, 30 kit car clubs, great food, quad rides and children's funfair, ample free parking and over 400 privately owned kit cars, the show will be a fantastic day out for any car enthusiast great or small!
It is anticipated that many top manufacturers will attend like Robin Hood, Sebring, Tifosi, Deauville, Quantum Sports Cars, Beauford Cars, Pilgrim Cars, Hawk Cars, Aeon Sportscars, Blaze sports, BGH Kitcars, DJ sportscars, GKD Sportscars. Raw Engineering, Tiger Racing, Adrenaline, Tonic and MK Sportscars - over 35 top names should be displaying their cars inside the Kent Pavilion........"
This means that we might just get some warm weather on top of that cold damp hill in Kent.
Still nowt about Stafford yet apart from the date and cost of entry £10.00.
Camping costs to follow but I really hope we avoid the farce of last year, hopefully Den Tanner will see sense and charge the same as we settled on @ £5.00. Watch this space though.
Southern Hoods
After another great turnout despite the weather, several new faces, and the locost lads turning up,
it`s about time for an `events` update, Disapointingly the Hampshire Pageant of motoring on the
bankholiday weekend is cancelled, hopefully back for next year,
A number of the lads last night intend going to the Cranleigh & District Lions club`s classic car
show this weekend 15th, a great show £5.00 entry all for charity.check thier web site for details.
We will do the Beaulieu Auto Jumble on weekend 11/12th Sept.
And we intend doing the Exeter kit car show on the23/24 Oct.
