Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Classic, Sports And Kit Car Show
Just to update people on the car show I am organising this year. I am getting a very good response so far from the classic and sports car owners, taking approx two bookings a day. No kit cars yet. Yes it does clash with Newark which is a shame but hopefully some of you will be able to make it on the Saturday. If the club wants a stand/display I can reserve some space.
So far we have Audi on board with a large 20m stand, BMW, Mini & Ford all about to be signed up, along with some nice heritage cars from them. Also a Lotus specialist. GBS are advertising in the brochure and we will be getting some good prizes for best cars/trophies etc. All in all I am really pleased how it is going for a first show in this part of Essex.
Details are as follows:
Saturday 18th June 2011
open to public from 10 am to 4pm
Open to display cars from 8am.
Free to drivers and passengers of display cars.
£1 donation to LAA for public.
Money being raised is going to the London Air Ambulance, who will be bringing a Rapid Response Doctor car down.
Contact e-mail: carshow@stpetersharoldwood.org
Many thanks
Spencer

Bristol And Surrounding Area
Hi Everybody,
Our meet for this month will again be at The Compass Inn, Tormarton on Sunday 12th December from around 7:30pm onwards. As usual all are welcome. There will not be a get together in January to allow for recovery from the festivities, therefore our first meet of the 2011 season will be what is now our traditional Sunday lunch on the 20th Feb (slightly later in the month to avoid valentines weekend) We can discuss possible venues on Sunday evening.
Cheers for now
Richard

Tatton Park Shows
I've just been in contact with Cheshire Auto Promotions, trying to get a club stand at one or both of the events in either June or August 2011 at Tatton Park.
Both are two day shows, with camping for exhibitors on Friday and Saturday nights, free entry for two in an exhibited vehicle, free camping for exhibitors, caravans/motorhomes £20. Trade stands and auto jumble at both events.
It sounds like the June show is pretty much full, and if we get a spot it will be at the August show.
So, if anybody's interested in a potentially free weekend show, in Tatton Park, Cheshire, just off Jct 19 of the M6 add your name below.
