Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

St Peter's Car Show
Just a reminder and update to the St Peter's Car Show in Harold Wood, Essex on the 18th June this year. All profit to the London Air Ambulance. Lots of bookings from a very wide range of cars. Quite a few clubs are booking in with 12-15 cars, stand, Gazeebo etc. A few kit cars booked in, shame it clashes with the big show of the year. Sponsored by Audi, Ford & GBS.
For more details and to book please visit www.stpeterscarshow.co.uk
Thanks
Spencer
Bristol & Surrounding Area
Hi Everybody,
Our meet for April will be the first combined meet of the year with the Bristol Kit Car Club (BKCC). This will be on Sunday 10th April meeting from around 7:00pm at The Lock Keeper pub. Keynsham Road, Keynsham, Bristol. (BS31 2DD for the sat nav). The usual form (after the initial gathering at Keynsham)is to then to take a short run out, usually to the White Harte at Bridgeyate (BS30 5NA). As always all are welcome to attend.
These joint meets proved to be succesful throughout last summer, with increased numbers of cars in attendance providing greater interest for both clubs. So, we will carry on in a similar manner for summer 2011.
Cheers for now
Richard
Peak District Weekender
I have made a group booking for 10 tents, but scope to add more, at Hardhurst Farm camp site, near Hope in the Peak District, for the weekend 10th - 12th June 2011.
The site is on Parsons Lane, behind the Travellers Rest pub on the main road between Hope and Hathersage, S33 6RB.
There are ladies and gents toilets and showers on site, as well as a cafe that does breakfast in the morning, pub for food and drink is 200 metres away, and BBQ's are allowed, but NO open fires. Supermarket, more pubs, curry house only 10 mins walk/2 mins drive away.
Fees are £5.00 per person, per night.
For those that don't camp, the pub does B&B as well as plenty of other places in the immediate area, but it is summer in the Peaks and they will be booked up sooner rather than later.
There will be a run out Saturday, exploring some of the many obscure national speed limit roads that criss cross the area, but hopefully they won't be as agricultural as last year
If you're comimg add your names below so we have an idea of numbers, I'll start it off.
