Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Cars On The Green
Went to the cars on the green event yesterday and came away very impressed. Held in Nowton park in bury st Edmunds, this event is free to enter and to attend with a suggested voluntary donation of a quid for the public car park. With it being free and seven or eight hundred cars booked to attend you can imagine how busy it was.
Set in a large public park with cars lined up amongst the trees, it was subtly marshalled with ample facilities and most of the cars were privately entered rather than with clubs so they were mixed up so you were likely see a mini next to a corvette. A lot of the cars were modified rather than concours which I find more interesting not being a bolt counter.
All money raised goes to charity, put it in your diary for next year. Thanks to Martin pidd for organising our entries
Cars In The Park

Reading Kevin's report on "Cars on the Green" reminded me of the annual Lichfield event "Cars in the Park" which occurs this year on 4th and 5th July, Link here:
http://www.carsinthepark.com/index.html
No entry fee, no registration/booking needed, just turn up on the day (unless going as part of a club).

Just a heads up for next weekend. Late notice but only just found out about it (thanks Pete Lee). Have e-mailed the organisers to see if kit cars are treated as exhibitors (free entrance?) or just as normal.
I'm still away but if the weather is good it should be a good show. If anyone does go I would be interested to know if it worth including on the calendar for next year.

Lincolnshire Meeting For July

I will still be out of the country and can't attend but for those in need of a meet, don't forget "HorsePower at the Hall" - Doddington Hall, near Lincoln. Sunday July 12th at 14:00
For some reason they have moved from Saturday mornings (09:00-12:00) to Sunday afternoons (14:00-17:00), maybe they were sick of the weather always being poor on Saturdays I quite liked having the morning session and then a pub lunch but I guess we can have a pub lunch and then go to the meet. At least I won't have to get up at 07:30 now !!
If anyone wants to go as a Group, let me know on here and I will make the arrangements.
And if any other Lincolnshire member wants to arrange something as well.......
