Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Dns Issues
If you've been having any issues accessing the site, this is down to one of my main domains expiring by mistake, that controls all my nameserver records! This should be rectified soon, but may take some time to filter though. Sorry
Area Meetings
Spring is in the air and I suppose many of us will be thinking about taxing our cars in perpetration for another summer of shows and club meets. In these hard times of economic austerity and high motoring costs many kit car owners will be making the difficult decision do I leave the car on SORN or put it on the road? We have seen a fall off in club members coming to monthly meets. Is this true across all the areas? I know 2012 was a wash out but let's look on the bright side and get our motors back on the road for 2013.
Oops! Sorry, Bit Late But Staffs Meet Tomorrow Night Thursday

Midlands/s.yorks Tarmac Terrorists Run Out 03/03/2013
I plan on taxing the stealth pinto today and as she's not been out for the last three months i thought i'd like to blow away the cobwebs on Sunday 3rd with a few mates........
Plan on following this route (roughly)
Weather looks cold and mostly dry but will alert here if its totally pishing down and i decide to stay indoors!!
I plan on disturbing the peace and leaving Watnall around 7.30am to get the best of the road's covered in relative peace.
Breakfast wise i'll probably stop near Matlock bath for a brew and again after Snake pass to let the adrenaline drain out of our system.
Petrol wise there are a few stops along the way but Glossop or Bamford is around halfway point for those looking a drink for the cars (I prefer Glossop as it means a full tank for the pass).
If anyone fancies part of the trip then that is not a problem but please post a meeting place on here or else you may find yourself alone in a laybye somewhere with only a hairy trucker for company!
Any interested parties?

Tatton Park Shows 2013
The application forms have arrived for the events at Tatton Park on 1st and 2nd of June and 17th and 18th of August, see the link below:
Entry for exhibiters is free including one passenger.
Camping is available from the Friday afternoon and is £10 for the weekend, if you don't camp there are two travelodge type hotels nearby, one at Knutsford services on the M6 and one at Bucklow Hill at the Swan pub.
Passes can be had for Saturday, Sunday or the whole weekend.
We have been to the August show for the past 2 years and it is a great atmosphere with over 2000 classic cars to feast your eyes upon, the June event is usually a little bit bigger and in the evening there is a beer tent and disco to keep you entertained.
If you're interested add your name below with the show/s you want to attend, what day/s and your car make, model and reg number for the passes and whether you are camping
Malt Shovel
South Yorks Curry Night
Evening all.
I've just been out for one of the best curries i've ever had. On the menu i noticed an interesting feast:
"Whole stuffed lamb (for 15) - lamb marinated in a spiced yoghurt sauce. Oven baked with a stuffing of rice, potatoes and eggs. Garnished with onions, capsicum and green chillis. Served with a selection of side dishes, naan breads and salads."
Total cost is £260 which works out at £17.33 each. Anyone interested? Obviously we'd need near 15 people to make it viable, so if you're interested, let me know. I've included a poll above with a few suggested dates, but it can in effect be any date if none suit. You can vote for more than one date in the poll if more than one date suits.
Alternatively, if not enough people fancy the challenge, we could just have a normal meal out. Normal dishes are in the £8 - £11 region.
