Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

North East Area Meeting Tuesday 28th March 2023
The clocks change this w/e so we get to have a drive to the meeting in daylight, looking forward to seeing as many as possible attend the Church Mouse, Chester Moor DH23RJ from around 7pm.
East of England Meets for March
Last minute decision to meet up, when I saw the weather was OK today and rubbish for the foreseeable future. So off to one of multiple garden centres (actually the associated cafe) that we visit. Good to get together again and lovely day for a drive.
Next chance is GBS Coffee & Cakes but weather not looking too good. Will probably be another last minute decision.
Classic Car event Stafford 5/3/23

Hi all
We are begining to see this more and more often in various parts of the forum. At the moment we are not sure what is causing it. I am in discussion with our hoster but he doesn't know what is causing it either. The closest idea we have is that it is related to the spam filters we have running. We will keep trying to figure it out, but if it is a spam filter then it is IP-related. So what seems to happen it self-heals after a few hours when the IP changes.
You can try rebooting youe router, which should force an IP change. Or we normally find that you can access it vis a mobile phone provided the WiFi is disabled and it is working on mobile data. If, like me. you have a BT router you can switch to the secondary, public, wifi system that uses a different IP.
If by chance we have some real IT experts on here who understand this sort of thing, please let me know and I can ut you in touch with the hoster.

Kimbolton show July 16th
Hi folks I know it's a bit early but Sporting Bears have sent me the following information regarding the annual classic car show. We usually have a good showing at this event so can you let me know who is interested at this stage so I can give them rough numbers?
Thanks Peter
Kimbolton Country Fayre and Classic Car Show on Sunday 16th July 2023.
Planning has commenced in earnest and we’re getting ready to welcome back some of your favourite features as well as introducing some more new ones.
It just wouldn’t be the same without you, our car clubs. You’re such a huge part of our show and we’d love to welcome you back this year.
We are delighted to announce that you will no longer need to send out wristbands to your club members – this year will be introducing the ability for your club members to book online, in advance of the show. It our hope that this drastically speeds up your movement as you enter the show through the pay lanes.
Each car club will be allocated an amount of space that fits in the number of cars you, the organiser, confirms you’d like to bring, and your members can simply book a ticket online, confirming the car club they are part of and show their ticket at the entrance to the show.
Full details for how to book will be provided closer to the show date to all clubs that confirm they would like to attend the show. Of course, if you have some members who need to pay on the day, they can do so.
If you would like to book a club stand in this year’s show all I need from you is:
· Confirmation that your club wishes to attend
· How many cars you wish to exhibit
Unfortunately, for the first time in many years, we’re having to raise the price to enter the show. It will now be £15 per car or £10 per motorcycle. If you book online, there will also be a small booking fee.
West Mids Monthly Meet 22nd February 2023
Next Wednesday 22nd, 6pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL.
I'll aim to be there just after 630pm, generally they're trying to kick us out just after 9pm so if you're coming, don't leave it too late. Also, if you want to eat, book beforehand as they don't normally let people just rock up and eat.
Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island.
Everyone welcome. See you there.
North East Area January meeting

Hope you all can make it so we can catch up on what's been happening and plans for the future.
