Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Leics Area Meeting 16/07/2014 *new Venue*

The next meeting will have a temporary home of The Greenhouse Cafe
The Langton Farm Shop, Melton Road,
East Langton, Leicestershire, LE167TG
01858545819
This is where a Classic Car Show is hosted. The only downside is it finishes at 9pm, but still looks well worth a shot. It does start at 4pm though.
I cant get there until 7pm.
As usual all welcome.
See you there.

Looks like a lot of nice roads in the area. Not planned a route yet but i`m thinking Leics/Coventry/Rugby as a starting point.
Just gauging interest.

UPDATE
After conflabbing with Jez of the Coventry Massive, we have come up with a full day out.
Starting here at the Showcase Cinema Coventry at 9.00am
Then on to the Super Sausage Cafe for about 10.30am. Then we leave around 11.30ish and drive some highly recommended roads ending up at the Daimler heritage Centre for about 13.00pm.
There is a Sunbeam Tiger Rally on there at the same time but should not affect us.
It is a bit pricey at £12 but Jez is going to see if he can get a club discount.

So there you go. Just need a decent sunny weekend for a change.

Malvern Show

Why is this show not a RHOCaR event ? It's the only kit car show left for us Southeners -- & it's still 91 miles North of us at Stonehenge.

Kent Kit & Custom Car Show
Saw this advertised in this month's Complete Kit Car mag.
It's at Aylesford Priory on 20 July, 10am - 4pm.
Entry fee £2.50, kids under 16 free.
There isn't much info on the website.

Don't know how good it'll be, but with the demise of Detling, it's got to be worth a run out just to have a look see.

Corbridge Show, Northumberland. Sunday 6Th July 11Am To 4Pm

All,
Anyone going to this show on Sunday? Good way to spend a morning before lazing on the sofa all afternoon watching the British GP
July Lincolnshire Meeting

After the successful 'Southern' meeting in June at the Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair it's time to have a 'Central' one again, so the next meeting will be another Sunday Pub Lunch on the 27 July probably at the Muskham Ferry in Newark (NG23 6HB) where we had our inaugural meeting.
So far I have
Ian & Carole (Ian & Carole)
Richard (richard7)
Tom (toms2b)
Nigel & Helen (niduncan)
Peter & Anne (Peter Lee) (depending on state of car)
Mick & Stella (mowerman)
Unfortunately I won't be able to join you for this one as after almost 10 months enforced stay in the UK I have decided to wrench my life back from the NHS appointment system and am going on a long overdue (and long) holiday But I will be back in plenty of time for Donington. I will try and lay on the weather again.
Anyone else who would like to attend please let me know so we can warn the pub on probable numbers.
Cheers
