Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Midlands Run To Wales - 8Th To 10Th August 2014

The third Midlands run out to Wales will be taking place on the second weekend in August, Friday 8th to Sunday 10th 2014. Last year’s event seems to have gone well so I’m proposing that we do something similar again this year. Destination will be near Nefyn on the Llyn Peninsula in North West Wales for some scenic driving, good natured banter and hopefully some decent weather. Accommodation can be camping or B&B depending on personal choice.
A Friday afternoon departure allows a more relaxed day out on the Saturday but as not everyone will be able to get the day off, there’s the opportunity to join us on the Saturday instead if necessary. People travelling on Friday from the central Midlands will need to allow 4 hours driving at a sensible speed (c150 miles) with a couple of stops and our driving route Saturday was around 120 miles spread out across the day:
Saturday night I’ll hopefully do another BBQ at my house depending on numbers (limited parking). Sunday will be a leisurely drive home with maybe a stop off somewhere like Portmeirion if people want to.
At the moment I just want to gauge some interest and get a rough idea of numbers – I’ll be there anyway so even if it’s just me and one other person in their tin top it’ll be on. There’s a bit of follow up from last year’s event here:

I'll post up more details regarding accommodation later but in the meantime if there’s any questions, just ask.

June Meet For Hants & Dorset Area.

Evening all, 2nd Sunday in June is early --- the 8th it is. Was planning on going to the " Wiltshire Steam Fair" at Oare -- Near Pewsey. How about a RHOCaR picnic?
It's a great setting in the grounds of a country house, plenty to see & do -- plus a large car boot sale to spend your pocket money on.
The very energetic amounst you could climb the adjacent hill (200 ft ) for a marvellous view over the show & country-side.
We are too late to have a stand so no rush for numbers attending.
