  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    Silloth Vintage Show

    Guest old AL
    By Guest old AL,

Wondered if any of the North England or South Scotland lads might be going to Silloth show next Sunday 22nd (I think its on Saturday also) really nice venue, massive town green (must be one of the biggest in the country) mowed like a lawn !!!!! Its a beautiful setting with the main street on one side and the Solway Firth on the other. I've been in previous years, never pre-booked, just turned up, never been turned away. All the usual stuff, car's, m/bikes, steam engines, fun fair etc. I intend going, (on Sunday) weather dependant, I've no hood, and I am too old for getting soaked thank you !!!!! (my old, nearly 70 year old joints are bad enough now) :bad:

Crooks Cottage Family Fun Day 24Th August

    Simon Parish
    By Simon Parish,

    Hi All

I've been asked to post this by a friend who organises this fun day every year and they were hoping some of our members close by might like to attend. I may well make the trip down myself so if anyone fancies popping along that would be great.

    Anyway here's the info:

Crook Cottage Stables are holding a Charity Family Fun Day in aid of local non-profitable Animal Rescue Centres in the local area and are after displays for the public to come and look at during the day. I wondered whether you would like to come along with your kit car and perhaps a few others for mainly the men and young boys to have a look round and possibly if allowed for them to sit in? We are trying to get as many displays as we can for males and females and with cars being a big thing amongst you men thought this would be of interest. Would you be able to ask your club/forum as to whether anyone would be interested in attending please. Fun day is on Sunday 24th August at Johnson Bothers Farm, Sutton Road, Walsall, WS4 0QN and starts at 10.00am. The show is held on a large field but the ground is good so it won't take out the bottom of your cars :-))

Would you mind asking for me please as we need to advertise the fun day and the more displays we can advertise hopefully the more people will come along.
