Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

SE event: Cars in the Square, Southampton, Sept 3rd

When I booked this a month ago, it was to be held in Winchester but there was some council problem, so it's been moved into the centre of Southampton.
Also annoyingly, despite having paid my £5, I may not be able to make it, but anyway, if anyone else fancies a day out...

Car club with meets in West Sussex

I thought I'd put in a good word for the Sadcase car club (Storrington and District Classic and Sportscar Enthusiasts)based in Storrington. They are a free to register club which have well attended meets at various pubs and locations in the area including the Goodwood circuit occasionally. Their motto is, if you love your car then they love it. All types of cars attend from vintage to modern. They welcome kits. I'm a regular in my RH along with one other RH. It would be great to see some other locals there with their Robin Hoods. People travel quite far to attend.

West Mids Monthly Meet 26th July 2023

Next Wednesday 26th, 6pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL.
Generally they're trying to kick us out just after 930pm so if you're coming, don't leave it too late. Also, if you want to eat, book beforehand as they don't normally let people just rock up and eat.
Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island.
Everyone welcome. See you there.
Newark Kit Car Show

Only 9 days to go, hope you all have it in your diary. It's a lot closer than Malvern for most of us so hope we have a good turnout. Our Club Stand is in the same place as last year, shown on the map.
Unfortunately we are still in the position where no-one has stepped up to take over as Events Secretary so again we can provide only limited support. Nevertheless it should be a good show.
See you there.
Baston Car Show

The annual Baston Car Show is again being held at Grimsthorpe Castle this year on Sunday 9th July.
https://www.bastoncarshow.com/
https://www.grimsthorpe.co.uk/
Unfortunately they have decided to charge for all attendees regardless of whether they are classics on not. They also need your car the have been registered before 2000 if you wish to park in the exhibition area. Doesn't help me as mine was SVAd in 2008. Frustrating as it is only 1.5 miles from me I also don't approve of classic/kit cars being charged unless it is for charity and I can see no sign of that.
So I shall skip it, but if you fancy going it should be a good show.
