  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    By Knock-on,

OK, haven't been about recently so haven't got a clue what happens in our woefully underrepresented corner of civilization but was wondering if there's such a thing as a gathering near my Manor? Is this posted somewhere and I'm looking in the wrong place and what's happening in December?

    Lincolnshire Meeting For November

    alanrichey
    By alanrichey,

After a Southerly meeting (Corby Glen Sheep Fair) and a Centre meeting (Newark, Muskham Ferry) it's time to go 'oop North' again.

We had a good meeting a few months ago at the Woodcocks Pub at Saxilby (Burton Lane End, Lincoln LN1 2BE) so I think we will revisit it. And again I am aiming for Sunday Lunch so families can come as well. Hoods (Mazda for Mick) are optional, although I shall be bringing mine if it isn't raining :)

So let's aim for 12:00 start on Sunday 16th, so far I have positives from:

    Me

    Nigel (niduncan)

    Richard (richard7)

    Cheers

    Al

West Yorks Area Meeting - Change Of Venue And Date

    BigLee
    By BigLee,

In light of recent experiences at our usual venue, I am taking the opportunity of moving the RHOCaR monthly meeting to a new venue. Not too far away but out in the sticks a little.

We shall also be changing the monthly meeting date to make it easier to remember to the FIRST of the Month from February next year onwards.

Lovely quiet rural pub with large car park called the Rock and Heifer just outside Bradford in Thornton. - (Baz and I have visited the last two Mondays just to make sure it is OK :)

There is a Google Maps link below to show you exactly where the pub is located.

Now please pay attention. For NOVEMBER we shall keep the date to the Second Monday of the Month. So That is MONDAY the 10th NOVEMBER ........

Then In DECEMBER we shall MOVE the date to the FIRST MONDAY of the Month. SO That will be the 01st of DECEMBER.

FINALLY I would like to arrange a bit of an XMAS dinner. But the Rock and Heifer doesn't do food in the week.... So I propose that we do the RHOCaR

Christmas meal in the January Meeting on the 05th January.... (That's the 1st Monday of the Month) . I suggest we go to the Dalesway pub on the same road as the the previous pub (Airedale Heifer) about 300 yards away - We have been before when the Airedale Heifer was closed one month. I know it is after Xmas but everyone is busy leading up to Chrimbo and will be something to look forward to in the New Year.

For the meal on the 05th January - please let me know if you can come and for how many (Wives, friend etc welcome). I will ask at the next two meetings as well and then I can arrange to book a table.

So sorry for messing about with the dates and venues - but come February next year it will be a lot easier. 1st Monday of the Month at the Rock and Heifer..... :

Rock & Heifer Inn, Rock Ln, Thornton, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD13 3RH, UK

    Link: <https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=The+Rock+and+heifer+thornton&aq=&sll=53.797001,-1.754379&sspn=0.045981,0.100164&vpsrc=0&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Rock+%26+Heifer+Inn,+Rock+Ln,+Thornton,+Bradford+BD13+3RH,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=16&iwloc=A>

Derek if you are reading this can you update the magazine for next publication - please??

    Cheers Lee
