Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Want To Start Monthly Staffordshire Meet
Hi all,
I cannot find a meet thats remotely local to central midlands / Staffordshire, so i want to see if anyone would be interested in having a monthly meeting held in Staffordshire, either around Stafford / Stoke on Trent or North Staffs area which is always a nice drive out, like near Alton Towers. I do have a couple of locations in mind and already attend a couple of local classic car shows throughout the summer.
Im sure there must be a few people in this area, so anyone with any ideas or intrrested please let me know.
Cheers...Mark
Beaumanor Hall Show
I have sent off Kerry & My application form for the above event which is on Sunday 26th July, its only £3 so not a huge risk if the weather is very bad.
I have booked a club stand so when filling out that part of the application form put in RHOCAR.
Donington 2015 Is It On?
Been looking up events for this year but can't find any mention of the Donington show, any one know if it's on?
Hants & Dorset Area Meets
Hi Folks, we have nothing planned for January -- most of our week-ends will be spent "out of the area".
February we can arrange a meet for any of the following :- Sunday the 15th or 22nd (suggest lunch some-where south of our patch)
Or -------------------------------------------------------------------- :- Tuesday the 10th or 17th ( suggest meal or maybe just a meet & drink)
You never know the weather may be kind & it will be a glorious day/night in which to get out for a run.
Wrap up warm & enjoy.
South Yorkshireish Area Meet January

Warks / Worcs / West Mids Xmas Meal 28Th January 2014
Wednesday 28th January 2015 is our annual Christmas lunch.
Same format as previous years and at our usual monthly venue The Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL
https://maps.google....=classic&dg=brw
To keep the table bills simple, most people normally opt for the carvery but other options are available:

Meet up from 7PM onwards and aiming to eat around 7-30 but latecomers can usually be accommodated. I like to give the pub a rough idea of the headcount a few days before the event so if interested parties let me know, I'll start a list. Last year I think we got 33 people so that's the target to beat.
Everyone welcome (including ladies and kids).

Hows everyone fixed for departure Saturday 18th April and return home Wednesday 22nd April? Gives those wishing to attend Stoneleigh a rest period and catches the end of Scottish school holidays so the best driving roads on the Sunday/Monday/Tuesday will be free of dawdling of tourists.....
Day one takes us to Helensburgh (route undecided as yet but will skip into the dales and peaks on the way north)Looking like Travelodge is cheapest in Helensburgh but work commitments mean I have less free time for research this year ;o(
Day two (a day of Lochs); 260 mileshttps://goo.gl/maps/jcrO3This year we will cover the loop of Loch leven we missed on the last trip, lunch again at The Onich hotel (served us well last year), pop on the ferry over to Skye for the night (Food was excellent at Dornie but I thought the rooms were out dated for the price) so I am contacting the hotels on Skye for tariff, availability and food provision-if time permits an evening blast over Skye could happen (likewise a pre-breakfast blast is possible).
Day three (a day of mountain passes) 282 mileshttps://goo.gl/maps/XS9maMore to come ASAP
Day four;
Day five;
Long way home (a faster route is available) https://goo.gl/maps/CzYQU
