Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The Committee would like to congratulate Heritage Insurance on their 60th Anniversary in 2025
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

End Of Season Hog Roast - This Sunday (+Vulcan)

Just a reminder that New Lodge Farm in Northamptonshire (NN17 3DU), who host the lunch stop for the Stilton Cheese Classic Car Run that some of us go on, are running a Hog Roast this weekend and all classic/kit cars are welcome. It is being hosted by the Kettering Veteran and Vintage Car Club and the Stilton Cheese organisers, but basically anyone can just pitch up in any car they like. See http://www.newlodgefarm.com/Upcoming%20Events/for details.
And by coincidence, the Vulcan will be flying past (about 3-4 miles away up the A43) sometime in the afternoon (timings TBA on Friday). See Phil's post at http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=43047&do=findComment&comment=345631
And the weather is looking good as well.
So I shall definitely be going, taking a scenic drive through Rutland to avoid the A1/A43 and timing it to catch the Vulcan. If anyone else fancies joining up somewhere near Rutland Water let me know.

Lincolnshire Meetings For October - Corby Glen Sheep Fair

Hi all
The annual Corby Glen Sheep Fair (http://www.sheepfair.co.uk/) is being held on Sunday 4th October. As in previous years classic cars (and kit cars) are more than welcome to attend. Last year was particularly good with about 100 cars and as I recall, about 6 of our cars came along.
It's your standard small village fair (stalls, dog show, music, morris dancers, fun fair, burgers, .....) and I think everyone who came last year enjoyed it.
I have promised the organisers a rough idea of numbers by the end of the month, so could I ask for names over the next week please. I'll edit this post as it goes along, so far the attendees are:
Me (It's only 1.5 miles away from me)
Nigel & Helen
Swan
Pete Lee (maybe)
