Hi all

The annual Corby Glen Sheep Fair (http://www.sheepfair.co.uk/) is being held on Sunday 4th October. As in previous years classic cars (and kit cars) are more than welcome to attend. Last year was particularly good with about 100 cars and as I recall, about 6 of our cars came along.

It's your standard small village fair (stalls, dog show, music, morris dancers, fun fair, burgers, .....) and I think everyone who came last year enjoyed it.

I have promised the organisers a rough idea of numbers by the end of the month, so could I ask for names over the next week please. I'll edit this post as it goes along, so far the attendees are:

Hi all

As the weather is looking so good for Sunday (20th) I am thinking of taking a packed lunch to the Newark Autojumble.(NG24 2NY). 'Interesting' cars, which I think include us get a £1 discount. For those who have not been before, you come off the A46 roundabout onto Drove Lane but overshoot the public entrance and the entrance you want is further down on the right. It opens at 10:00 but I will probably aim to get there about 11:00 to wander around a bit before eating.

This means that we dont have to be in bed by 9pm (the garden centre meet used to close a little too early)

As usual all are welcome, in fact the more the merrier this month as a lot of folk will be sorning for the winter soon so lets get a good turn out.

Hi all

Those of you that do the Stilton Cheese Run will be familiar with New Lodge Farm (NN17 3DU) as the lunch stop for the run. They have a huge field they use for camping and events (The 300 cars on the Stilton Cheese Run barely filled half of it)

I have just received this:

I'm happy to take the lead on this so I'll do a trawl for numbers nearer the end of the month and let them know. And if anyone fancies an organised run out from some appropriate point so we arrive in convoy I can arrange that as well.

Hi all, have been away for most of the past 5/6 weeks & so have not made any arrangements for us to get together.

The situation doesn't improve for the rest of September either ( lucky us ) so the next Hants & Dorset meet will be in October.

ANY IDEAS ???

We have been absent from the Dorset area for far too long --- is any-one down that way who would like to suggest a venue for a Sunday?

By popular request we are looking at arranging a visit to a gin distillery & this will probably be in November.

One other idea is for an early evening/night visit to the Hawk Conservancy to witness the owls in flight.

And then it will be CHRISTMAS ----- shall we have our annual bird & all the trimmings before or after the year end?

Need to know your thoughts good people, put your 2 pennies worth below & we'll start the ball rolling.
