Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Diary Date For Any East Of England Owners
Hi all
Those of you that do the Stilton Cheese Run will be familiar with New Lodge Farm (NN17 3DU) as the lunch stop for the run. They have a huge field they use for camping and events (The 300 cars on the Stilton Cheese Run barely filled half of it)
I have just received this:
"Hi folks
I'm happy to take the lead on this so I'll do a trawl for numbers nearer the end of the month and let them know. And if anyone fancies an organised run out from some appropriate point so we arrive in convoy I can arrange that as well.
Cheers
Al
Meetings & Runs ?
Hi all, have been away for most of the past 5/6 weeks & so have not made any arrangements for us to get together.
The situation doesn't improve for the rest of September either ( lucky us ) so the next Hants & Dorset meet will be in October.
ANY IDEAS ???
We have been absent from the Dorset area for far too long --- is any-one down that way who would like to suggest a venue for a Sunday?
By popular request we are looking at arranging a visit to a gin distillery & this will probably be in November.
One other idea is for an early evening/night visit to the Hawk Conservancy to witness the owls in flight.
And then it will be CHRISTMAS ----- shall we have our annual bird & all the trimmings before or after the year end?
Need to know your thoughts good people, put your 2 pennies worth below & we'll start the ball rolling.
Open to all , not just my crew in sunny Hampshire & Dorset.
Lincolnshire Meetings For September
I'm going to stay flexible this month. The Peterborough Car Show is this weekend (5th/6th). I haven't made up my mind whether to go on the Sunday yet, I'll watch the weather. But it comes highly recommended.
The weekend of 12th/13th is the National Meet, but if you are not attending that (I am) then 'HorsePower at the Hall' at Doddington Hall (LN6 4RU) is from 14:00-17:00 on Sunday 13th.
I'll watch the weather for the weekend of 19th/20th and Saturday 26th (I am off on yet another holiday on the 27th, although tis time only for a week) and if it looks good I will arrange a pub meet somewhere, hopefully be able to give a few days notice.
And just a heads-up for your diaries. The Corby Glen Sheep Fair, which many of us attended last year and was very successful, as well as a nice day out (typical village summer show, craft stalls, pets, morris dancers, classic cars, beer....) is on Sunday 4th Oct. I shall be going, rain or shine (it's only 2 miles away) so would appreciate some company. More details nearer the day.
Cheers
Al

Me
Nigel (niDuncan)
Richard (richard7))
Pete Lee
Ken (2bcruisng)
Derek
Chris (tractor)
Chris Brown
Peter Ray (peter2b2002)
Mick (mowerman)
the others who registered were:
Paul Petch ('the spanner man')
Andy Church (don't know forum handle)
Neither of them has replied to my messages so I just hope they are going and we don;t waste 2 spots.
Just a reminder to all of you that you need to print of the instruction sheet and have it with you when you arrive at the entrance to the field. And remember we are all on the Club Stand so you will have to tell the marshall you want to turn left and not be directed to the 'Modern Classic' area.
See you all there.
Cheers
Al
