  • Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Future Meet For A Skittles Evening?

    fry61
    By fry61,

Hi all, looking at using the Skittle Alley at the Silver Plough for an evening meet -- possibly starting with our monthly meet in May. Costs will be around £10 per head for use of the alley & a buffet meal. Really need 10 souls to make this work so please put ideas below & if you would like to form part of a team.

We shall for certain attend the local music festival some when in late summer / early autumn -- This is an open air event -- charity donation is the entry fee -- bring your own drinks/seats. There is a bar on site but it gets very busy. The evening finishes with a spectacular firework display if we go on the Saturday of this 2 day event.

    Again please indicate interest below.

Lincolnshire Meetings For January - (Post Xmas Lunch)

    alanrichey
    By alanrichey,

    Hi everyone

Sorry I've been quiet, but a combination of holidays and medical problems have kept me off the grid. But I'm back up to speed now so time to start the New Year.

I've been waiting for decent weather as I haven't SORNd the Superspec, but at the moment that looks like a faint hope. Sunday is giving a 10-15% chance of rain so I guess I can live with that. Worst case scenario is I have to use the Volvo :)

So first meet of the year will be at 12:00 on Sunday 10th Jan at the Muskham Ferry (NG23 6HB), our favourite 'Central-Lincs' pub. I shan't book a table unless a huge number of people decide to come.

Please post on here or PM me if you are coming. So far I have

    Me

    Richard (Richard7)

    Nigel & Helen (niduncan)

    Mick & Stella (mowerman)

    Cheers

Warks / Worcs / West Mids Xmas Meal 27Th January 2016

    richyb66
    By richyb66,

Wednesday 27th January 2016 is our annual post Christmas lunch.

Same format as previous years and at our usual monthly venue The Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL

    https://maps.google....=classic&dg=brw

To keep the table bills simple, most people normally opt for the carvery but other options are available:

    http://www.tobycarvery.co.uk/restaurants/midlands/stonebridgeislandmeriden/carvery

Meet up from 7PM onwards and aiming to eat around 7-30 but latecomers can still get fed if they can't get there that early. I like to give the pub a rough idea of the headcount a few days before the event so if interested parties let me know, I'll start a list. last year we got around 40 people so we filled the top dining area, if we get more people we'll either squeeze up a bit or take up more of the main dining area.

Everyone welcome (including ladies and kids) and new members are especially welcome.
