Welcome to The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year. The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.
It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.
The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.
The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

H & D February Meet
Maybe a big ask to expect any-where to be able to provide a Sunday lunch on the 14th, so any other ideas for the Hants & Dorset February Meet. All suggestions welcome & some may even be sensible.
P.M or post here please.
Barbon Hill Climb Saturday 2Nd July 2016
A contingent of RHOCAR North East Area members will be attending Barbon Hill Climb again this year. In the past we have camped in Dent Village and had some great nights in the village pub renown for it's Kamikaze ale. The Hill Climb action is superb viewing and it's fascinating to walk around the team tents watching the cars being prepared for the competition.
Would anyone else like to join us this year?

Rhocar Membership Card Update
Please be advised that the delay in this year's welcome packs being sent out is due to the printers that make up our membership cards having a break down of the printer that puts the numbers on the cards and the company advise me that they are still waiting for the parts to repair the machine.
They are hoping to have this sorted in the next couple of days and restart the run.
When they mail me with an ETA of finishing the run .boxing them up and sending them to me I will advise accordingly.
Apologies for this inconvenience
Chris

Bob & Mo's 10Th Bbq Weekend 19-21 August
Hi all, all members & their guests are invited to our 10th annual BBQ, to be held as usual on our patch of Hampshire -- West Tytherley.
Programme at present will be similar to past years -- meet & set up camp/park caravan/book in at B&B on the Friday (19th) & down to a local pub for a meal together; back home for a fireside natter & refreshment until early A.M
Saturday will be the main day with runs out in our cars -- a lunch provided by our girls ( generally a cold buffet ) silly games/ build something from gaffer tape & cardboard/more trips out for those who wish & then the main event -- the BBQ -- which this year we hope to have decorated with choice fillet steak ( provided by a pair of our guests who have already booked their camping spot ) A separate veggie BBQ will again be running for those that wish a meat-free meal. Then after dark drinks & natter once again --- have not secured any music yet.
Sunday we will host a BBQ breakfast -- all the things you know you shouldn't but do because you love them-- including BLACK PUDDING.
The rest on the day is entirely up to you , go out for more runs/pack up/natter & leave when you wish.
We shall provide tea & coffee all day/every day but all alcohol is down to you to provide & hopefully share. We hope to have an on-site porta-loo provided by the club.
So folks, get your names down for this 10th bash. We can seek out B&B for those that wish to have something a little more substantial over-head, there is room for several caravans but need to know numbers early as they will determine the layout of our garden.
Peterborough Classic And Vintage Car Show (Sep 2016)
I know it's a long way off, but the organisers are now accepting reservations for this event, being held over the weekend 3/4 September. I have also confirmed with them that our cars qualify under the 'Classic and Vintage' banner even if, like me, your car was registered in 2008
Full details are here: https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/leisure-and-culture/classic-and-vintage-vehicle-show/ and you can register your car and any camping requirements at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VehicleRegistration
